Support Tahoe XC and SWEP at the 18th Annual Winter Wildlands Backcountry Film Festival
Join us for an evening of inspiring film, raffle drawings, community camaraderie, and outright fun! Together, Tahoe Cross-Country Ski Education Association (TCCSEA) and Sierra Watershed Education Program (SWEP), will show the Winter Wildlands Backcountry Film Festival at Tahoe Art Haus.
This event is a fundraiser for youth programs. Each year SWEP provides place based environmental education to over 400 local kids in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. The 40 foot Winter Discovery Yurt at Tahoe XC is the location and the ski trails and surrounding environment is the classroom. Together, Tahoe XC and SWEP get kids outside and learning with a focus on winter ecology, watershed science, and outdoor recreation. This is an intentional fundraiser to help offset the cost of SWEP providing the curriculum to local kids.
