Old Skool Klassic 2026

Classic Skiing at its Finest

Go Old Skool this January with a single-track, groomed classic course winding through the woods at Tahoe XC.

The Old Skool Klassic is a virtual, unofficially timed race open to all ages. Ski the course anytime during the day of the event. We will have an official rolling start at 9:30am. If you start throughout the day, we ask that you please be off the trails by 5:00pm.

Race Details:

• Date: January 19th, 2026
• Rolling Start: 9:30a
• Registration: $40/Adults $20/Juniors
• Please Note: All participants must have a day ticket or season pass in addition to their registration fee
• Classic skis only — no skating
• Dress Code: The more old skool, the better — think wool knickers, leather boots, and timeless style.
• Course may include occasional passing lanes where it overlaps with regular Tahoe XC trails
• On the day of the event, please pick up your Day Ticket and/or Course Map in the Tahoe XC Lodge

You may time yourself using:

• Strava
• An old-skool wristwatch
• A sundial
• One cookie crumb dropped for every minute you’re skiing

All we ask is that you stay true to the course, ski classic technique only, and be honest about your time, our trail gnomes will be watching.

Submitting Your Time

To submit your time, you may:

• Write it on parchment and deliver it by carrier pigeon, or
• Email your full name, distance, and best time to contact@tahoexc.org

You’re encouraged to ski the course as many times as you like over the course of the event. Test waxes, try skins or zeros (conditions permitting), and chase your best time.

Cancellation or Postponement

If this event is cancelled, postponed, or cut short for any reason, we are unable to issue refunds. Thank you for supporting TCCSEA. Event details and operations are subject to change.
